Headaches - Migraines
Cold laser therapy can be used in the treatment of migraines as it actively improves the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain that has been depleted. Its technology is also designed to improve nerve conduction and the firing of receptors within the brain. Cold Laser Therapy incorporates the use of non-ionizing technology meaning it doesn’t expose patients to any risks when the light is shone upon them and is non-invasive in nature so no surgical incisions are required to delve deep into the underlying tissues.
The protocol for migraines includes: treating at the base of the neck, treating any sore areas on the head (place of origin) and treating up each nostril. Treatment time last about 10 - 15 minutes. It is recommended to treat 2 or 3 times per week for a couple weeks and then evaluate progress. We offer a package of 3 treatments to get started.
“Christina took the time to listen to me about the location and frequency of my migraines. I had been having migraines for 2 weeks prior to my first treatment. The day of my first treatment, I felt one come on and within seconds it was gone. Two days later I had my second treatment. The following day I experienced the same quick onset and retreat of a migraine. I definitely recommend that chronic migraine suffers should try these treatments!” Dawn Chastler, Salem — I spoke to Dawn almost 2 years after her treatments and she has not had a migraine since!
“Laser Therapy treatments have made a significant impact on my migraines - I get them less often and when I do get them, they go away more quickly and are less intense. Additionally, since starting treatments, my energy is better and my outlook is much more positive. The provider, Christina Lask, is always so kind and personable. I have appreciated her bedside manner. I highly recommend Laser Therapy for anyone who is struggling with pain.” Rachael Babbs, Salem
“The laser therapy is really helping migraines and meet weekly to keep the pain down. Christina is great to work with and is good at finding alternatives, does the proper research, and makes you very comfortable. Would highly recommend!” Tom Cowan Jr., Salem
“My migraines are both chronic and inconsistent. I take two meds; one to prevent and one when I am having a migraine. Usually I have to take several pills and hope the migraine goes away. Since laser treatments I now only need to take one pill. It is a big relief to only have to take one pill! Highly recommend! Thank you Christina.” Haven Garber, Salem
